About Us

We are amateur beekeepers, off of Scherff Road in Orchard Park, New York. We started beekeeping by accident. We moved to Orchard Park during the covid pandemic in May 2020. We took our neighbor's compost bin in the distance to be a bee hive. We said to ourselves these people are bee keepers, we must blend in!

Albeit true this story is, it is also true that the beekeeping is in our genes, we come from villages in the Black Sea coast where everyone had hives for generations.

Why the name Rhinegold? Well... In the Norse mythology, Rhinegold is the treasure under the river Rhine. Whoever uses the treasure (made in to a ring by craft , the dwarf Alberich's doing) to bring glory to themselves are all doomed, from the brothers Fafner and Fasolt, and later to the hero Siegfried.

We digress... We assure you that there are no plans to keep the Rhinegold honey to ourselves. We have this online shop just to return the treasure to their rightful owners in return for US Government backed notes.
